Remember the Twilight Zone episode entitled “To Serve Man”? Center for Art Law believes that there is no one right recipe to enjoy a movie with legal twists or connection. From time to time, we organize dinner and a movie evenings dedicated to or inspired by films (feature and documentary) somehow associated with law and the arts. What’s cooking and guess who is coming to dinner next? It shall all be revealed in due time.
The Wolf of Wall Street Evening — Dinner + Movie (TBD)
The Monuments Men Evening — Dinner+Movie (Feb. 13, 2014) — What can be better than watching a film about art recovery? Watching it with like-minded people after a pleasant dinner. Reviews for the film have been mixed but the subject is rich and still topical, 70 years on. As you contemplate when you should see Clooney’s latest “The Monuments Men,” consider join Center for Art Law for a dinner and a movie in Union Square (NYC).
The Portrait of Wally Evening — Dinner + Movie (Mar. 3, 2014) — Event was co-sponsored by Holocaust Restitution Practicum (Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law). Special guests: Lucille Roussin and David D’Arcy (both appearing in the film).
