American Bar Association: Arts & Cultural Heritage Law Committee “This committee is composed of attorneys with an interest in the field of art, cultural heritage, and cultural property law and who work in a variety of settings, including private practice, museums, government, and academia. This area of law is concerned with both movable and immovable property of artistic, cultural, religious and historic interest. Topics recently considered by the committee include the 1970 UNESCO Convention and international trade in antiquities, underwater cultural heritage, art works stolen during the Holocaust, ratification of the 1954 Hague Convention on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict, and the impact of war on the cultural heritage of Iraq.”

American Society of International Law: Cultural Heritage and the Arts Interest Group “This Interest Group brings together practitioners, government officials, museum officials, scholars, and students with an interest in the international law of cultural heritage and the arts.  The group’s activities include publishing a newsletter, sponsoring panels and lectures on related topics, and promoting an exchange of ideas through the group’s list serve.”
